It’s a thoughtful companion to this week’s gospel reading and has shifted my sermon prep in a new direction - one that better reflects what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church.
I especially like the part where you highlight the role of grace. Life has so many twists and turns that I am often confused about what to do. It’s God’s grace that gives me clarity and that enables me to act. And it’s also grace that helps me live with myself when I fail
I appreciate this profoundly pastoral reflection.

Thanks.
Thank you, Heather. Thanks also for your commitment to preaching!

Thank you Ben. Well done, and I appreciate the reminder that my ambiguity just might be fear, reluctance. I look forward to the book!!!

So good! So true! Especially today. We fear saying the truth. There could be harmful consequences.. I’m reading Bonhoeffer….
Ouch! Yes, sometimes we do know what we should do - but don’t. And I follow still because you encourage me to be a better person than I am.
